Dear Families,
Our Book Week whole school activity day last Friday has definitely been the highlight of the term so far. We all had a fabulous day at the Ambrosia campus engaging in classroom activities and we all thoroughly enjoyed the sea of costumes at the morning parade. Thank you to the families who attended and for all your hard work in preparing costumes. And, we all loved having a lunch order from Ferguson Plarre bakery. Please enjoy looking through some of the many photos taken on the day.

Beveridge Primary School is very excited to have received the Connecting Schools to Indian Communities Grant from the Department of Education for 2025. We started a dance (Ambrosia) and art (Arrowsmith) program at our campuses last week with some chosen students.
The program with the Indian community gives students a chance to explore a rich and colourful culture while learning new skills. Through movement, music, and creative art, students discover the importance of storytelling, tradition, and celebration in Indian life. These activities encourage teamwork, creativity, and confidence while helping to develop an appreciation for cultures different from their own. For students with Indian backgrounds, the program is a special way to share and celebrate their heritage.
The students will get to showcase their learning with the school community at our Festival of Colour celebration on Friday 17th October at our Ambrosia campus.
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 18 August to Friday 19 September 2025.
All families are invited to participate in the survey.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.
The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Resources are also available in additional languages to assist parents / caregivers / guardians who speak a language other than English at home. Please reach out to your child’s teacher, or the school directly for survey guides in your language.
The survey results will be communicated to parents / caregivers / guardians through annual reporting once results become available to us. Last year we used the survey results to plan for the following year.
Information was sent out via Compass. If you would like more information, please contact the office.
Paper and yarn weaving are creative, hands-on activities that build fine motor skills.
Paper weaving involves interlacing colourful strips of paper to form patterns, helping students explore symmetry, colour, and design in a fun way. Yarn weaving introduces texture and patience, as students use cardboard looms or simple frames to create woven pieces. Both forms of weaving encourage persistence, patience and has been a great test of resilience. Some amazing pieces of work have been created.
Ms Bourke
We look forward to seeing you all,
Ms. Bourke, Ms. Pemberton and our amazing students.

The works are expected to be completed by mid-October.
