Dear Families,
Welcome back to school for Term 4. It is amazing how quickly the school year is passing by.
I hope everyone had a wonderful two week break and are ready for a big term of learning and exciting events. Welcome to our new students, and families, to Beveridge PS.
Festival of Colour - next Friday
We are all excited about next Friday 17th October! We have a full day of activities, including our whole school Colour Run and afterschool community event. Please make sure you have read the Compass information with the specific details of how the day will be operating.
Grade 2 Excursion
Our Grade 2 students are getting ready for an exciting day at Edendale Farm tomorrow, whereby they’ll explore nature, learn about sustainable living, and meet some friendly farm animals. A huge thank you in advance to our amazing parent helpers for joining us – your support makes these experiences possible.
School Buildings at Ambrosia Campus
Over the holiday break we have had two double storey modular buildings installed at the campus. We have one more arriving early next week and also an additional toilet block. We have been busy ordering furniture and resources to ensure the classrooms are all set up and ready for learning in 2026.
First Aid and CPR Training
This week, and next, our staff are undertaking their First Aid and CPR training after school. This ensures that we have all staff trained in up-to-date processes and procedures, and therefore can respond to any incidents and/or emergencies promptly.
School Hats
A reminder that all students must bring and wear their school hat during recess and lunch time play breaks during term 4. We do have hats for sale at both campuses if you need to purchase one. If parents are unable to attend the office to purchase a hat, you are welcome to ring through to purchase one over the phone. Hats are $15 each.
We do follow a No Hat, No Play rule and students will be required to stay indoors and/or in shaded spaces if they do not have their hat.
I hope it has been a wonderful first week back for all.
Take care,
Christine Cole

Our school has been invited to participate in the 2025 Billy Slater Challenge!
We’ll be sending both a Boys and Girls team made up of Year 5 and 6 students to compete against other schools in an NRL Tag competition. In this modified version of rugby league, players wear tag belts around their hips and “tackles” are replaced by removing a tag from the ball carrier.
We’re encouraging all students who have:
to register their interest in joining a team.
Each team will be capped at 12 players, and the event is open to all Year 5/6 students at BPS.
Once places are filled, registrations will close.
The event will be published on compass tomorrow, Friday 10th October at 4pm.
Please be prompt to ensure your child does not miss out.
It’s been fantastic to see such strong interest in Rugby League across our school this year. With these growing opportunities, we hope to keep building on this momentum into 2026 and beyond!
