Term 4 - Week 4

Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Tomorrow we celebrate World Teachers’ Day at both our campuses. I would like to acknowledge and say thanks to the amazing efforts of our teachers. We are very fortunate to have such a committed team of teachers at Beveridge Primary School who work so hard in the interests of our students’ wellbeing and learning.

Foundation 2025 Transition Visits

We have our first transition session next Friday 7th Nov with our 2026 Foundation students. Our new students will spend an hour in the classroom playing with other students, meeting staff members and learning the routines of school. Looking forward to welcoming some new families to our school community.

Emergency Drill

Sometime over the next two weeks we will practise our last emergency drill, an evacuation, for the year. Our students and staff are all very familiar with the procedure and have a greater understanding of how to be safe during an emergency.

Student Placement 2026

We are currently working through the process of creating our 2026 classes. To assist us with this process, we would appreciate it if parents could notify us via email (beveridge.ps@education.vic.gov.au) if their child will NOT be enrolled at Beveridge PS in 2026.

A reminder that there is no school on Monday (Report Writing Day) or Tuesday (Melbourne Cup day). I hope all families take the opportunity to enjoy a long weekend. Team Kids will operate vacation care only on Monday.

Take care,

Christine Cole

Art Show

We would like to share some more images from our amazing Art Show that was held during our festival of colour day. It was a wonderful celebration of creativity and expression across all year levels! There were Heather Galler-inspired paintings, colourful Andy Warhol-style donuts, and imaginative and striking assemblage sculptures created from everyday materials which were indeed a favourite with all students who viewed the art show.
Our Indigenous-inspired artworks reflected a deep connection to land and community, while weaving projectsboth paper and yarnshowcased patience, pattern, and texture.

The Grade 6 "ROCKS" artworks demonstrated individuality and skill, and looked amazing set up on the bridge as a feature. Such a wonderful display of our students hard work!

We are SO PROUD!!
