As our school continues to grow, we are experiencing the same challenges currently affecting schools across the state—a shortage of teachers combined with rapid increases in student enrolments at Beveridge PS. As a result, we are still actively seeking to employ additional teachers to support our students and maintain the high standard of teaching and learning we value.
While every effort is being made to keep classes and teaching teams as planned, families may notice some changes to teaching teams at the beginning of the school year. These adjustments are made carefully and with students’ wellbeing at the forefront, ensuring continuity of learning and strong relationships remain a priority.
We thank our community for its understanding and ongoing support as we navigate this period of growth.
Farewell to the following staff
We are also saying farewell to Miss Teagan Denny and Mrs Shae Chisholm at the end of this year. I wholeheartedly thank them for their contributions to BPS and wish them all the best for their next chapters at their future schools. The following staff will also be on extended leave in 2026: Adelaine Matthews, Virginia Greenwood, Luke McMurray (Term 1) and Helen Bouris.
I hope you will all have a restful holiday break and enjoy some much deserved down time.
I look forward to seeing all Grade 1-6 students back at school on Wednesday 28th January 2026 and our new Foundation students on Thursday 29th January.
Merry Christmas!
Yours sincerely,
Silvia Menelaou
Acting Principal

Summer holidays are an important time for kids with asthma.
During all the festivities, please don’t forget to keep up your child's asthma management and medicine as prescribed. Good asthma management over the holidays means less time off school when kids return in the new year, and less time off work for you.
To make sure your child stays as healthy as possible over the break and into 2026, you can take the following steps:
