Dear Families,
Welcome to Term 2 and our new look newsletter!
I hope everyone had a lovely break over the Easter holidays. Many of our students have shared their holiday experiences with us. They have travelled locally, interstate and some lucky students have been overseas. The students have settled well back into the school routine and were pleased to see their teachers and friends.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new students and their families. You will also see some new staff faces at the campuses. I would like to welcome the following to our Beveridge PS team of staff:
Athletics Carnival - Ambrosia Campus
The students in grade 3 – 6 were very excited to attend the athletics carnival at Meadowglen this week. They all put in an amazing effort into a number of different events which include running races, long jump, high jump, discuss and shot put. The winning House will be announced at Monday’s assembly.
Anzac day
Our year 6 students will lead a commemorative service at both campuses next Wednesday. All staff and students will listen to the grade 6 presentation and participate in a minute’s silence and the singing of the National Anthem.
Curriculum Day Fri 26th
Next Friday will be a curriculum day for the students. Staff will be engaging in a full day of professional development on upskilling in the latest practice of teaching Reading. Our training will be provided by our Literacy consultant Greg Clements, who has been working with us over the past twelve months. This is sure to be an engaging day for all staff.
Yours sincerely,
Christine Cole
