Term 2 - Week 3

Principal Report

Dear Families,

This week we welcome a new teacher, Rhianna Kyllo, to our School Community. Ms Kyllo is the new Grade 6A teacher. We also say farewell to two of our part time teachers, Shelby Whyte and Ailsa Davidson, who have taken up opportunities at other schools. We are currently working through a recruitment process to fill these positions.

Grade Sixes at Arrowsmith

Our Grade 6D students enjoyed a fabulous day at the Junior campus today. They were wonderful classroom helpers, teacher assistants and umpires for team games at recess and lunch. The senior students were wonderful role models for the day. Looking forward to having the rest of the Year 6 classes at the junior campus in the coming weeks.

Auslan Song

At our Monday campus assemblies, our year 2 and 3 students performed the song ‘Old McDonald had a Farm’ in Auslan. Another wonderful performance from our students. They do keep getting better and better.

Year 6 Sports Gala Day

Tomorrow the Year 6s will be representing the school at the Sports Gala Day. The students will be competing against students from our network of schools in the following sports: Football, soccer, netball and T-ball. Good luck to all the students and enjoy the day.

Year 3 Wild Incursion

Our Year 3 students will be enjoying an incursion tomorrow to support their learning about animals, habitats and science. Looking forward to seeing some furry friends at the senior campus tomorrow.

Mother’s Day Stalls

Next week our students will have the opportunity to purchase small items from the stalls at each of the campuses. Ambrosia on Thursday and Arrowsmith on Friday.

Also, don’t forget to purchase some tickets for the Mother’s Day raffle. Our P&F committee has some wonderful hampers as prizes!

Yours sincerely,

Christine Cole

2025 Foundation (Prep) Enrolments

If you wish to enrol your child at Beveridge Primary School, please complete an enrolment form and email to beveridge.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Alternatively, you are welcome to visit either campus office to collect enrolment documents or call on 03 9216 3400.

Please see below the required documents that also need to be submitted:

  • Children’s birth certificates
  • Immunisation certificates (showing the 4 year old immunisation)
  • Copies of your visas and/or citizenship certificates (if the children and/or parents were born outside of Australia)
  • Proof of residential address - this may be a drivers licence, lease agreement, rates notice, a bill or stat dec signed by real estate

PLEASE NOTE: It is a legal requirement that a copy of a child's Birth Certificate and Immunisation History Statement are provided to the school prior to commencement. Please forward these along with the enrolment documents. The Australian Childhood Immunisation Register records vaccinations given to children under seven years of age and provides parents/guardians with a statement of their child's recorded immunisations once a child turns 5 years of age. You can request a copy online at my.gov.au

Enrolments CANNOT be accepted unless relevant paperwork is submitted to the school office.

Mobile Devices

If your child is bringing a mobile telephone or smart watch to school they are required to sign them in before school at the office and collect them after school. The device will be securely stored in the office.

Cycling and Scootering to and from school

It is wonderful that we have so many students riding to and from the Ambrosia campus each day. Please ensure that your child has a full understanding of the route they are taking each day and the road safety rules.

Here are a few reminders for you to discuss with your child/ren:

  • Children under the age of 12 may ride on footpaths, as can a supervising adult.
  • Bike riders are required to give way to pedestrians and to wheel their bicycles over pedestrian and children’s crossings.
  • Children aged 12 years or older are required by law to ride on the road.
  • Road safety authorities recommend that children under the age of 9 are supervised by an adult when riding on the road.
  • All cyclists and scooter riders MUST  wear an approved bicycle helmet.
  • E-Scooters are only to be ridden by riders 16+
  • Parents or carers are responsible for their children travelling to and from school.
