Term 4 - Week 4

Principal Report

Dear Families,

Thank you to our P&F committee for hosting the Mother’s Day stall this week. And, CONGRATULATIONS to all our prize winners of the raffle. So many wonderful gifts were donated for the hampers.

Big Sister Experience

Our Grade 6 girls enjoyed a full day incursion on Wednesday with a focus on empowering young people. I know the girls thoroughly enjoyed having the dedicated day all together. The students will have two more full day follow up sessions throughout the year. You can see more about the program on their Website.

Student Attitudes to School Survey grades 4-6

Next week all students in grade 4-6 will have the opportunity to complete the annual survey. This survey asks students questions about how much they enjoy school, how they learn best, if they are being challenged in their learning and other questions related to their overall wellbeing. The data collected will then be utilised by the leadership team to inform our future planning.

District Cross Country

We have a bus load of students from the senior campus participating in the Cross Country event in Kilmore next Tuesday. Good luck to all students involved.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mum, grandmas and mother figures. Enjoy your special day on Sunday.

Yours sincerely,

Christine Cole

Education Support Week

We would like to acknowledge our Education Support Staff this Education Support  Personnel Week.

Education Support Staff are our WONDERFUL Admin staff who meet you at the front of house, our AMAZING Classroom Education support who help students with their learning in the classroom and in small tutoring groups and our MOTIVATED Team  Kids  educators who take care of the students in before and after school care.

Thank you for all you do for our students, staff and parents.

GRADE 3 - WILD ACTION

Grade 3 students took  part in a hands-on experience at school, learning about our Australian animals. Children  discovered what parts of an animal make it a mammal, reptile, bird or amphibian.  They also learnt how human activities affect the animal's habitat and how an understanding of these threats is changing our thinking and practices.
