Dear Families,
This week we celebrate Education Week with a spotlight on STEM. Our grade 4-6 students are very fortunate to engage in weekly STEM lessons with Mr McMurray and I know they are currently learning how to code Sphero balls.
Today we also acknowledge Education Support Staff Day! Our Admin and classroom support staff and key personnel in making sure each and every child is supported at our school. Our students very sneakily made each of our support staff a specialised card and the staff enjoyed a morning tea at recess.
District Cross Country
Congratulations to all students who participated in the District Cross Country event on Tuesday in Kilmore. And, a HUGE thank you to all parents and carers who gave up their time to attend the day. Well done to those students who made it in the top 10!. Super effort!
Student Attitudes to School Survey grades 4-6
This week and next, all students in grade 4-6 will have the opportunity to complete the annual survey. This survey asks students questions about how much they enjoy school, how they learn best, if they are being challenged in their learning and other questions related to their overall wellbeing. The data collected will then be utilised by the leadership team to inform our future planning.
Teacher Professional Practice Day (pupil free day)
Next Wednesday is a pupil free day for all Beveridge PS students. Teachers will spend the day focusing on curriculum preparation, assessment and reporting. Team Kids are offering vacation care for the day for families who require care for their child/ren for the day.
Please stay warm and well over the weekend,
Yours sincerely,
Christine Cole

Parents, carers and students are encouraged to practice prevention measures, including:
Flu vaccinations can be booked through GPs and pharmacies, many of which can also provide COVID-19 vaccinations. Flu vaccination is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over.
Some people are more at risk of complications from flu and are eligible for free vaccination as part of the National Immunisation Program.
The 2024 COVID-19 booster dose is available for everyone aged 18 and above.
Getting your booster dose remains the best way to prevent severe illness or hospitalisation, especially in people aged over 65 and those at higher risk of severe illness.
Children aged between 5 and 17 years who are at risk of severe illness can also receive a 2024 booster dose.
You can get your next dose at your local pharmacy or GP. To find one near you, refer to the vaccine clinic finder.
