Dear Families,
This week our Grade 4/5 students had a visit from Harold the giraffe and engaged in their Life Education lessons around the topic of ‘Friends and Feelings.’ These lessons support the teachings of our Wellbeing curriculum at the school. The Grade 3&6 students will have their lessons in week 11.
Our final class of Grade 6 students have spent the day at the Junior campus today helping and supporting the younger students. Once again our senior students have proven to be the excellent role models that they are.
Young Leaders Day
Tomorrow we have our Grade 5&6 student leaders participating in the Network schools Young Leaders Day program. We will be hosting the event at the Ambrosia campus. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with leaders from other local schools and to improve their leadership skills.
Grade 2 Swimming Lessons
Over the next two weeks Grade 2 students will be engaging in eight swimming lessons at Craigieburn Splash Park. Don’t forget your bathers and towel!
Long Service Leave
I will be taking the next two weeks as long service leave. During my absence, Ms Silvia Menelaou will be the Acting Principal. Ms Melissa Blair will be Acting Campus Principal of the Junior campus. Ms Adelaine Diaz will be the full time teacher of 2D during this time.
Please stay warm and well and I look forward to seeing you all back in term 3.

CCTV at our school
Beveridge PS has decided to use a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system at our school.
Our school has an obligation to ensure the school environment is safe and secure, and fulfil our duty of care to students, staff and visitors. The CCTV system will assist our school to fulfil these obligations and to prevent and manage other inappropriate behaviour on school grounds. CCTV will also provide enhanced capability to protect our school’s assets against vandalism and theft.
We will follow Department of Education and Training policy requirements for the design, installation, management and use of the CCTV systems. This policy is available at: CCTV in Schools – Installation and Management.
We will also place a CCTV Privacy Notice on our school website with more information about our school’s use of CCTV before it is rolled out on the 1st July 2024.
If you have any questions or concerns at this stage, please contact the general office on 9216 3400 or via email at beveridge.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
