Term 3 - Week 2

Principal Message

Dear Families,

Thank you to all families who attended the parent teacher conferences on Wednesday. I hope the time was beneficial to meet with your child’s classroom teacher to discuss learning progress.

Baby Announcement!

Congratulations to one of our Foundation teachers, Mrs Meg Esnouf, on the arrival of her little girl Sophie.

Yr 3&5 NAPLAN Data

Congratulations to all our Yr 3 & 5 students for their amazing effort and results of the NAPLAN Literacy and Numeracy assessments that were undertaken at the end of term 1. Individual student results were sent home with students at the end of last week. We are really proud of all of our students!

Yr 3 Chess Program

Over the next three weeks our Yr 3 students have the opportunity to take part in our Chess Program. The students will learn how to set up a chess board, the rules of the game and get to play one to one games. This is such a skillful board game that I know the students will love.

100 Days at School

Next Wednesday our Foundation students will be celebrating their ‘100 days at school’! We encourage students to dress up, with the theme being 100, and we will have a short parade at 8:50am on Wednesday morning.

Don’t forget that all Foundation 2024 enrolments due by the end of this week -  26th July. Please contact the Office asap if you need enrolment forms.

Employment Opportunities

We are currently advertising for two classroom teachers and CRTS to join the Beveridge PS team of staff. Due to statewide staffing shortages we are finding it very difficult to fill these positions. Please feel free to share these employment opportunities amongst your networks and friends. Anyone interested can contact myself or a member of the admin team.

Yours sincerely,

Christine Cole

100 Days at School

Dear Foundation families,

Can you believe your child has almost completed 100 days of school?!
We will be celebrating this special milestone on Wednesday the 31st of July. We will be providing more details closer to the day, however with holidays coming up, we wanted to give you some notice to organise a special costume/outfit if you wish to.
Suggestions for a costume are:

  • 100 years old
  • 100 days brighter
  • 100 objects

We are looking forward to celebrating a great start to your child’s schooling!

From,
The Foundation Team
