Dear Families,
We’ve had another engaging week of extra curricular activities including the Grade 4/5 Cyber Safety lessons, Division Athletics, Young Leaders Day and a Dance incursions for all students across both campuses. I know the students have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in these events.
Footy/Sports Colours Day
On Friday 20th Sept, the last day of school, our Student Leadership Team has organised a footy day. All students and staff are encouraged to wear their footy or sporting teams’ clothes and colours. We ask students to bring a gold coin donation, with all funds raised going towards buying sports equipment to be used at play times.
School Hats
With some more sunny days on the horizon we would like to see students bringing, and wearing, their hats at school. From term 4 we will be enforcing the No Hat, No Play rule.
Moving into the last week of school for Term 3, we have our Grade 6 students heading out on an excursion on Monday and our Grade 1 students involved in the Tiddalick incursion on Thursday.
And, don’t forget we have an early finish on the last day of term (next Friday).
Arrowsmith - 2:15pm and Ambrosia 2:30pm.
Yours sincerely,
Christine Cole

I would like to thank all our wonderful families, students and staff for their incredible support with Beveridge Primary's production of Mary Poppins Junior. The work that had been put into the costumes was a beautiful sight to see and the performances of all the students were just spectacular. Special shout out to our main characters who turned up to every rehearsal with energy and good humour week after week during lunchtimes and recess throughout terms two and three. I hope that the experience was enjoyable for all, even though productions require hard work and repetition, and that an appreciation for performance and performing arts continues throughout the lives of our students.

The year 6 students were invited to participate in the Summer Sports Tournament on Friday the 6th of September. The students choose to participate in Basketball (Full Court), 3x3 (Half- court Basketball), Softball, Cricket or Rounders. Unfortunately in 2024 we were unable to field any cricket teams. The gala day was held over three sites utilising the grounds and gyms of Assumption College, Saint Patrick's Primary and Kilmore Primary. The three schools should be commended for their organisation and support in putting on the day. Our 3x3 teams enjoyed the party atmosphere, participating in social 3x3 matches with our boys going predominantly undefeated throughout the day. Our Basketball teams put up a decent fight coming up against strong opposition throughout their tournament. Both our Boys/Mixed and Girls Softball teams came away as District Champions and have earned their place to compete at the division carnival early next term. Our rounders team went through the day without recording a loss, tying in their last game of the day. The students should be proud of the way in which they represented our school, and everyone put forward their best efforts in both attitude and behaviour. I would like to thank all the staff involved, both from our school and those working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this day possible. As the last whole cohort sports day for the year, I would like to thank all the year 6 students for their efforts in school sports throughout their time at Beveridge and wish them all the best for their future school sports endeavours
Mr Hamilton.
On the 6th of September Beveridge Primary School went to interschool sports. We played basketball, 3 on 3 basketball, rounders and softball. The rounders and softball teams headed to ASK (assumption College Kilmore). When we arrived we got off the bus and walked to the grounds. The softball gilrs teams went to their first match against Kilmore Primary (their mixed team) and we lost by two runs. Then we had a quick 5 min break and headed towards our next match with Sait Pats. We batted first, but lost again. After another quick break we moved to the final match of the day, the Girls Grand Final. We were very nervous because if we would win this match we could go to Division. We batted first and won by one home run. We were happy. We watched the softball boys team play their final match, then won by two runs. This means both the softball teams are going to the division finals early next term.
