Dear Families,
We have our first assemblies for the term coming up next Monday at 9:10am at Ambrosia campus and 2:40pm at the Arrowsmith campus. We will be finding out the winning House from our senior campus Athletics Sports day!
Next week, we will also have our Cross Country Trials taking place for Grade 3-6 students at the Ambrosia campus on Wednesday for those students wanting to participate.
Grade 4 Camp to Echuca
Our Grade 4 students are having a fantastic time at Billabong Ranch for their very first ever school camp! The sunny weather has made it perfect for outdoor fun, and the students are thoroughly enjoying the range of exciting activities on offer. From team challenges to animal encounters, there's been plenty of laughter, learning, and adventure. It’s been a wonderful experience so far, and we’re so proud of how well they’re embracing the camp spirit!
GRIP Student Leadership Conference
Mr Hamilton will be taking our School and Vice Captains to the GRIP Leadership conference in Shepparton tomorrow. This is an annual event run throughout the state for schools, and we love having our leaders attend.
Foundation Enrolments 2026
Our enrolments are open and our tours have started. It is a real pleasure to show future families through the classes at the Arrowsmith campus. Our students are so engaged, learning and most of all very respectful and welcoming. If you have a child ready for Foundation next year, please pick up enrolment forms from either of the campus offices.
Mother’s Day Stalls
Next week our students will have the opportunity to purchase small items from the stalls at each of the campuses. Arrowsmith on Thursday and Ambrosia on Friday.
Also, don’t forget to purchase some tickets for the Mother’s Day raffle. Our P&F committee has some wonderful hampers as prizes!
Yours sincerely,
Christine Cole
These certificates will be presented at assembly on Monday.

Foundation Enrolments 2026
Beveridge PS is now taking enrolments for Foundation (Prep) 2026!
Starting primary school is an exciting time for children, parents and carers. To start Foundation (Prep) in 2026, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30 April 2026. School is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.
Steps to enrol your child for the 2026 school year
If your child is starting Foundation (Prep) in 2026, you will be able to apply for enrolment at a Victorian government primary school from the start of Term 2, 2025 (Tuesday 22 April 2025).
What you need to do:
Enrolment applications submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by the school as they are received.
Your child has a right to enrol at their local school. Your child’s local school is determined by their permanent residential address. The enrolling in a school page can help you to confirm your child’s address for enrolment.
Please see the following link for further information.
Enrolling in Secondary School 2026
It’s time for our Grade 6 students and their families to start thinking about secondary school for next year. Our Grade 6 students have received their information pack for their enrolment into secondary school next year.
The Department of Education has updated school zones across the state for all primary, secondary and specialist schools and can be located at the following website. https://www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au/
Please note: There has been a specific update to the zoning of secondary schools in our area for current families living in Beveridge.
Current parents and carers MUST submit the Application for Year 7 Placement 2026 to Beveridge PS by Friday 9th May 2025.

Every Day Counts
The importance of regular school attendance.
At Beveridge Primary School, we prioritise regular school attendance. We will work with families to ensure students are in class with their peers and teachers and enjoying all the benefits that brings.
Attending school every day means experiencing what counts – the learning, friendship, fun and opportunities that can shape your child’s future.
Last year, students at our school missed on average 25 days (5 weeks) of school! This equates to half a school term!
We understand that there are times when your child will need to miss school but to ensure minimal disruption to their education, please consider scheduling family holidays or medical/dental appointments outside of school time. If your child is well enough to attend but is worried about friendships, schoolwork or exams, please encourage them to come to school. Avoiding school can make these feelings worse and can create a negative pattern of behaviour.
If your child is having difficulty attending school, talk to their teacher or a member of the Wellbeing team about getting support.
We know that parents and carers can be juggling challenges daily to get your children to school. If your child must miss school, notify us as soon as possible via Compass so we can work together to support them.
For more information about the importance of everyday attendance, see Attendance and Missing School.
Remember, Every Day Counts.
