Principal's Message

Dears Families,

This week our Junior campus students enjoyed being a part of National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday, whereby all students listened to the reading aloud of the storybook; The Truck Cat. Thanks Mrs Blair for reading the story to us all.

10,000 Points House Point Rewards

A massive congratulations to Gawa (Green) House for reaching an incredible 10,000 House Points at the Junior campus! To celebrate this achievement, students enjoyed a lively disco during lunchtime on Tuesday, dancing and celebrating in full House colours.

Student Leadership Teams

Our senior student leaders will be spending the day tomorrow at the Arrowsmith (junior campus) engaging with the junior leaders. This initiative is aimed to bridge the gap between grade levels and allow the senior students to spend the day in the classroom participating in various activities, offering guidance and mentorship to younger students.

District Cross Country

We have a bus load of students from the Senior Campus participating in the Cross Country event in Kilmore next Wednesday. Good luck to all students involved.

Rugby players from Melbourne Storm came to the Arrowsmith Campus to teach some Rugby Skills. The students in Grade 1 and 2 all had a great time learning skills and drills for rugby in a free clinic. We had a lot of budding League stars on the oval!

Reconciliation Week

On Monday 26th of May, Beveridge Primary School is excited to have Wurundjuri Elder, Uncle Ian Hunter attend our school assemblies to share his family history and cultural experiences with our school community.

All community members are welcome to attend the campus assemblies at their normal times.

We look forward to celebrating Reconciliation Week together.

Student Social Media

Dear Families,

Recently, we've noticed that some of our students have been discussing content from social media platforms like Facebook and Snapchat. While these platforms are popular, they can sometimes expose children to inappropriate or distressing material. Some of our students have expressed concern over what they've seen, which has affected their focus and comfort at school.

Although these incidents occur outside of school hours, their impact is felt here, as students bring their worries with them. This year, we've been focusing on teaching our students about online safety. Our local Victoria Police community liaisons have visited the senior campus to speak with every class about how to stay safe online.

We kindly ask that you:

  • Review your child's access to social media platforms.
  • Discuss with them the importance of being safe online.
  • Remind them never to share personal details or locations on social media.

Together, we can help our children navigate the online world safely.

Thank you for your support.

Donation of Tissues

As we are coming into winter, we are finding that many children are presenting to school with the sniffles.

We are asking families if possible to dontate a box of tissues to be shared for their childs classroom.

These can be dropped off at the office or taken directly to the classroom.

Thankyou
