Dear Families,
It’s been a huge week of lunchtime discos across the campuses this week. Our students have been striving for 10,000 House points to receive their lunchtime reward discos. Congratulations to the following Houses at the Junior campus for achieving their 10,000 points and disco: Marram (red), Bunjil (blue) and Warrin (yellow) Houses. And, congratulations to Gawa (green) House at the senior campus for achieving their reward disco!
Lockdown Drill
This week both campuses conducted a lockdown drill to ensure that both students and staff are prepared for potential emergencies. Lockdown drills are essential safety exercises that simulate real-life scenarios, helping everyone understand the necessary actions to stay safe during a threat.
Dress Like a Rockstar Day - next Friday!
Looking forward to our “Dress like a Rockstar!” day to raise money for our Choir students to attend the School of Rock concert at the end of the term. Come dressed as your favourite singer, band member or rock star and bring a gold coin donation! It's going to be a Rocking day!!
Young Leaders Day
Tomorrow we have our Ambrosia student leaders participating in the Network schools Young Leaders Day program being held at Wallan PS. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with leaders from other local schools and to improve their leadership skills.
Campus Assemblies next Monday
We have our third and final campus assemblies for the term coming up next Monday at 9:10am at Ambrosia campus and 2:40pm at the Arrowsmith campus. All families are invited to attend.
Yours sincerely,
Christine Cole

BPS had 11 students qualify to attend the Division Cross country held at the Kilmore Race track last Wednesday (4th June).
Our athletes performed well through a slight track change and a constant icy cold breeze. Division compettions combine the top performers from all the district events held in our area to complete for a place to race in the Northern Metropolitan Region (NMR) Cross Country, to be held again at the Kilmore Racing Club next Wednesday the 18th June.
While we are proud of all the students from making it to divison, we wish the following students the best of luck at the NMR competion!
Please see the Divison Place holders below.

On Friday the 6th of June, our Grade 2’s undertook their first transition day over at the Ambrosia Campus. Our excited young students met their Grade 5 buddies and were guided through different fun and engaging activities such as maths games, team games in the gym and the 2025 Teacher Scavenger Hunt. They were introduced to the many different areas of our senior school including the play areas, library, breakfast club and the gym as well as the friendly teaching staff that they will get to learn with next year. The Grade 2’s are already looking forward to their next day over at the Ambrosia Campus – Book Week!

This term, the student leaders have chosen the reward for our School Wide Positive Behaviour (SWPBS) House Points system.
When each house reaches 10,000 points, students in that house will celebrate with a disco at school.
Our school is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all students and staff. You may be aware of recent changes announced to suspension and expulsion powers that will be available to Victorian principals from day one of Term 3, (Monday 21 July 2025).
We know that students’ behaviour outside of school, particularly online, can sometimes impact the safety of students and staff at school.
In exceptional circumstances, principals of Victorian government schools will be able suspend or expel students for behaviour that occurs outside of school grounds and/or hours including online, if it poses a significant danger to the safety and wellbeing of students or staff.
These powers apply only to serious incidents where there is a clear and close connection to the school and the behaviour of a student outside of school unreasonably impacts the safety and wellbeing of students or staff at school, and their ability to learn or work. Please note:
Suspension and expulsion will remain measures of last resort – our primary approach continues to focus on proactive and positive behaviour support, including working with you to teach students the behaviours we expect of them, in school and in life.
Thank you for your continued support as we work in partnership to educate and support our young people.
A reminder when dropping off and picking up children at the junior campus to please keep the space clear in front of the CFA on Lithgow St.
Parking in this zone has an increased risk to students, the public and road workers; parking in the no standing zone also inhibits access to trucks and emergency services during this busy time.
Thank you for your cooperation.
A reminder that the Department of Education has in place a mobile phone ban that requires students who bring mobiles phones to school to have them switched off and securely put away during school hours. The ban applies equally to all government schools right across the state.
At Beveridge PS students who choose to bring mobile phones to school must have them switched off and securely stored at the Office during school hours. Students are required to sign in their device in the morning and sign them out at the end of the day.
At Beveridge PS we are strictly enforcing this procedure and have reminded our senior students of this policy this week.
I ask for the support of all our families, staff and students in continuing to support the implementation of this policy in our school.
