Tomorrow Friday 20th June we are running a fundraiser where students can come dressed like a Rockstar! Students can come dressed as their favourite singer, rockstar or band member along with a gold coin donation.
This fundraiser will run at both campuses.
Jack N and Evelyn L once again returned to Kilmore Racing Club, representing our school and division at the Northern Metro Region Cross Country.
Qualifying for this regional event is a huge achievement in itself, and both students should be incredibly proud of their efforts.
Evelyn, competing at the regional level for the second year in a row, gave it her all, pushing herself to finish with a fantastic time of 12:16, placing 19th out of 61 competitors.
Jack, making his debut at the regional level, faced some tough competition in the 3km event. He showed great determination to finish with an impressive time of 11:47, placing 52nd out of 69 runners.
This marks the end of the road for our cross-country runners in 2025. We wish Evelyn all the best if she chooses to continue in the Secondary Cross Country circuit and look forward to seeing Jack, and many others, back on the track in 2026.
On the 13th of June, the school captains went to Wallan Primary School for a day. We were attending a young leader’s day. A young leader’s day is a school day when the student captains go to another school or other schools come to them and we get to learn about being a better leader. When we got there, we introduced ourselves, our roles and met the educators that were running the whole day. We started off with a quick activity. The activity was a game called mingle, where we had to be in a group of a certain number to survive the round. This game helped us to meet new people, find people we know from outside of school and see people who used to come to our school. We then thought about the leadership qualities a leader should have. After, we shared our ideas with everyone, and picked a person who we look up too, then we wrote the qualities they have, and we have. Then it was recess time, at recess most people either did basketball inside or played on the playground. After recess we went back inside and did another game, the game was where we had to go find a group with the same favourite things or something we have in common inside a topic. We then watched a video about someone, displaying fantastic presenting skills. After the video we got into groups and made a presentation on the spot about something we know a lot about, then at lunchtime people did the same things that they did at recess. Then we went back inside and got the option to share our presentations to everyone, after that the day was over and it was time to go back to our school.
