FOUNDATION
In Term 4, students will build on their Auslan skills by learning signs related to transport, food, and celebrations. They will explore how to sign different types of transport and common fruits and vegetables, using these signs to talk about everyday experiences. To finish the term, students will learn signs for Christmas and other celebrations, using their Auslan knowledge to share festive messages and discuss how people celebrate in different ways.
GRADE ONE
In Term 4, students will continue developing their Auslan communication skills through engaging topics such as days of the week, school subjects, and celebrations. They will learn how to sign about their weekly routines and talk about what they do at school. Students will also explore the Deaflympics, gaining an understanding of Deaf culture and inclusiveness. To finish the term, students will learn signs for Christmas and other celebrations.
GRADE TWO
GRADE THREE
In Auslan in Term 4, students will be growing their vocabulary around naming and describing different aspects of houses, including rooms and furniture. They will also be expanding their understanding around Deaf Culture and inclusiveness by completing a short project relating to the Deaflympics. Students will finish off the term with an exploration of Christmas and other celebrations.
