Foundation:
During Auslan in Term Three, Foundation students will be learning about how and why we use emotion while signing. They will continue to participate in simple conversations with their peers and teachers learning signs like ‘hello’, ‘good-bye’ and ‘how are you?’. They will continue working through learning how to fingerspell the Numbers in Auslan.

Grade One:
During Auslan in Term Three, Year One students will be learning about how and why we use emotion while signing. They will continue to participate in simple conversations with their peers and teachers learning signs like ‘hello’, ‘good-bye’ and ‘how are you?’. They will continue working through learning how to fingerspell the numbers in Auslan.
Grade Two:

In Auslan in term 3, students will revise and build on learning from the previous semester. Signs students will be introduced to include different means of transport and outside sports and games. Students will sign the text from a book with repetitive sentences. Students will learn the numbers from 1 – 1000 and complete simple calculations using their number knowledge. They will learn about iconic signs, which are signs where the sign looks like what it means and has a natural movement, eg. The sign for brushing your teeth looks like you are brushing your teeth. Students will continue to view and respond to signed stories and songs.
