Term 3 - Week 8

Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Grade 6 Alexandra Adventure Camp

Our Grade 6 students are currently enjoying their 3-day camp at Alexandra Adventure Resort! Nestled in the beautiful Victorian countryside, the camp offers a range of exciting activities like high ropes, giant swing, archery, and team challenges. The students are embracing every moment, building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong memories. We are looking forward to sharing all the photos in next week’s newsletter.

Under Construction!

Construction of the new portable classrooms and toilets at the Ambrosia Campus has begun. We have had temporary fencing installed along the boundary of Plume and Paterson Streets and the oval with more works to commence in the following weeks.

We are receiving three additional double storey modular buildings (12 classrooms) and one additional toilet block to accommodate the additional growth in our school community. These additional buildings will be ready to use at the beginning of the 2026 school year.

Footy/Sports Colours Day

Next Friday 19th Sept, the last day of school, our Student Leadership Team has organised a footy colours day. All students and staff are encouraged to wear their footy or sporting teams’ clothes and colours. We ask students to bring a gold coin donation, with all funds raised going towards buying sports equipment to be used at play times.

Campus Assemblies

We have our last assemblies for the term coming up next Monday at 9:10am at Ambrosia campus and 2:40pm at the Arrowsmith campus. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

And, don’t forget we have an early finish on the last day of term (next Friday).

Arrowsmith - 2:15pm and Ambrosia 2:30pm.

Take care,

Christine Cole

Principal

District Athletics

Dear Parents and Guardians

On Friday 5th September, we had the honour of representing Beveridge PS at the District athletics. We competed in all areas of Athletics and had success that we are beyond proud of ourselves and each other in.

All together we took 56 Athletes aged 8-13, and were supported by our amazing coaches Mr. Hamilton, Blake, Mr.Deards, Jobe and Rhiannon. Cannot forget our at school training and coaching done by Mr Rai and Jobe. Without them we wouldn't have been as successful as we were today.

The day was very fun and being able to cheer on our teammates as loud as possible. So much that many lost their voice it was a real funny highlight. We got the chance to run and compete against other schools and support those that we didn't know from other schools but were doing amazing things.

It was a great opportunity to be able to help events run and be successful in their competitions by supporting those competing and supporting the staff running the area on the day.

The nerves were high but we were super supportive of each other and made sure they were proud of how well they competed. We can't wait to support each other as we move on to Division on Tuesday 16th of September.

Well done BPS!!
