Students will also continue to practise their fluency reading daily, focusing on pace, accuracy, and expression.
Writing – Students will be learning to write non-fiction texts about endangered animals. They will focus on using correct sentence structure, technical vocabulary, and organising their ideas under headings such as habitat, appearance, and diet. By the end of the term, students will create a published informational piece.
Numeracy – Students will continue developing their understanding of addition and subtraction, including three-digit numbers and regrouping. They will also be introduced to multiplication, focusing on repeated addition and basic strategies to build fluency.
Inquiry – Our Inquiry Unit this term is Science, with a focus on biology. Students will explore the life cycles of animals and plants, investigating how living things grow and change over time.
