The Beveridge Primary School Parent Helper and Volunteer Program is designed to allow parents/friends to come into the school and help our teachers and school community with various things such as help in the classroom with changing readers, reading/maths groups, resource preparation, etc.
In term 1 and 2 each year there will be some Parent Helper and Volunteer Induction Seminars running in order to induct parents/friends to the program.
These sessions are aimed to inform and prepare parents/guardians who are interested in becoming classroom parent helpers/volunteers.
The purpose of this induction is to ensure Bveridge Primary School volunteers are familiar with our policies and procedures relating to child safety and understand the important role they play in maintaining and promoting the safety of our students.
Volunteers must read the suite of policies and procedures in the links below before commencing any work where children are likely to be present.
The induction pack contains the following documents that all new volunteers must read and familiarise themselves with. Please click on the hyperlinks to access each document. A hard copy of this pack will be provided to Parent Helpers at the induction sessions.
If you are interested in becoming a parent helper you are required to attend one of these sessions and to have a current/valid Working with Childrens Check.
We value your feedback on ways we can continue to improve and strengthen our child safety approach and encourage you to contact the shcool with any comments or questions.
